Welcome to the website for the 2012 Wharton Latin America Conference (WLAC)! This years’ conference will be held on Saturday, March 31st at Jon M. Huntsman Hall. We are hoping to provide an even better conference than last year. WLAC 2011 was a tremendous success with over 400 people attending and keynotes such as Alvaro Uribe Velez, former president of Colombia as well as the Latin America CEOs for Walmart and HSBC.
This year’s conference is off to a strong start with keynotes being CEOs of the Panama Canal and Procter & Gamble Latin America. We have prepared great panels on a wide variety of topics ranging from M&A to Social Investing and Entrepreneurship to Consumer Trends. The Macro Economic Panel will be making a return this year with some familiar faces. The team has also tried to incorporate Wharton Alums to as many of the panels as possible. This year’s conference has had great support from our sponsors and we will be having a Career Fair to profile the opportunities that they offer to the Wharton community. Additionally, students will be able to participate in targeted breakfasts and lunches between with our panelists, more details to come soon.
